It is only normal for parents to worry about what their baby eats and Mixed BLW currently solves this issue. It should be borne in mind that not all children eat alike and the same quantities because they have different needs that must be observed and will change throughout their lives.
If you choose this option, don’t miss out on these tips:
- Don’t force-feed or restrict access to foods; this may result in overfeeding or feeding aversions.
- Let your baby use cutlery, particularly a spoon, if they ask for it. We would advise sitting your baby in the high chair with their own plate and little bit of purée and a spoon so they can practise and manipulate while you feed them the rest.
- Because they are being fed in two different ways, your baby may find purées more appealing and take longer transitioning to solids.
